Aldana Zabala wins joint first prize for MSc Dissertation

Congratulations to Aldana Zabala – her MSc.SAS dissertation ‘Energy balance in the adaptive reuse of historic urban industrial buildings’ has just won joint first prize in the  Royal Geographic Society-IBG’s Planning and Environment Research Group’s Postgraduate Dissertation Prize.The supervisor was Professor Fionn Stevenson

Designs on the Future NOW: Inaugural Lecture Series Videos

Three new female professors at the Sheffield School of Architecture (SSoA) gave inaugural lectures in November and December 2012, linked together by the common theme of ‘Designs on the Future Now’ and sharing the same aspiration of influencing the agenda of architectural education and practice. Each lecture picked up a facet of this challenge: mitigation/adaptation related to climate change, wealth discrepancies, and the urgent necessity for new forms of action.
